1. Bring Placebo "Battle For The Sun" Tour to US and Canada
Placebo’s current “Battle For The Sun” Tour around the globe has been a complete success since same started past June 2009. On July of 2009 Placebo were set to start a tour in North America and Canada next September 2009 as announced on their official website PlaceboWorld.
After an intensive schedule playing about 5 countries in less than 10 days, Placebo´s frontman, Mr. Brian Molko, collapsed on stage at the Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka, Japan past August 2009, victim of exhaustion coupled with a virus he contracted in Asia. This situation forced the band to cancel the entire North American and Canadian Tour, not without letting the fans know the band was willing to try and do everything to rearrange the cancelled dates as soon as possible.
Mr. Brian Molko recovered well and the band got back to work on September 2009. After 2 unforgettable appearances in Mexico on September 2009 (Coca Cola Zero Fest and MTV Latin America Music Awards) and the über successful South America Tour past April 2010, Placebo is now back in Europe for their Summer Festivals Tour.
The band’s headline performances continue growing. Unfortunately they haven’t rescheduled North American and Canadian Tour. Many fans overseas are getting really frustrated as the dates Placebo’s management has been releasing since Mr. Brian Molko recovered and until -at least- next September 2010, do not include US and/or Canada.
Notwithstanding the above, we still have hope for US and Canada dates to be rescheduled before “Battle For The Sun” Worldwide Tour is officially over.
2. Bring Home The Politicians!
We, hereby, demand and will pursue the relocation of all US Representatives and Senators to spend no less than 75% of their time in elected office in our State Capitals to telecommute via secured phone, fax, email, and web conference with their federal counterparts.
On the Local level, State Representatives and Senators will be relocated to spend no less than 75% of their time in elected office in the City Halls or Court Houses of our Districts to likewise telecommute with their state counterparts.
This will essentially “embed” politicians among the people they’re supposed to represent allowing them to always be informed with our communities’ positions on each issue and be within close reach to voice our opposition when necessary.
• Restores Balance of Power - Citizens are put back in charge of this country.
• Nonpartisan - This plan favors no political party since all need to be reigned in.
• Anti-Lobbying - Lobbyists spend most of their budget on travel expenses.
• Reduce Corruption - Citizens/Local Media resume their role as government watch dog.
• Cost Effective - The cost of upgrading state and local facilities for this plan is dwarfed by the savings from stopping out of control government spending.
• National Security - Any natural disaster or assault on DC would be far less catastrophic because it would be taking down only one server on a grid of 51.
3. Co-sign Letter To Obama from one of Earth's Leading Ecologists
Please sign and forward on to demonstrate your support for these basic, but necessary national priorities for Barack Obama's presidency.
The objective of this petition is to organize citizens who support Stephen R. Carpenter's position of saving human life support systems, emphasize the urgency of the situation to the Obama administration and draw attention to the seemingly unnoticed 1,300 leading scientists' Millennium Ecosystem Assessment Reports (www.MAweb.org).
Names will be submitted to President-Elect Obama promptly with a copy of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment Reports (www.MAweb.org) already donated by Island Press.
This letter is used with permission of Stephen R. Carpenter.
4. Give Average Citizens Real US Government Stimulus
The United States Government has never given its citizens a $10,000 economic stimulus check to help improve the quality of life. We need a real stimulus that will allow for some true change in lifestyle and that can offer the average citizen the opportunity to change the way in which they live.
The US Government can inject billions into its banks, so why shouldn't they inject trillions into the community. This money is necessary to give chance to the once chanceless, and the opportunity to build new businesses and develop better living environments for us all.
There is an estimated 300 million US residents, and over two thirds are middle and lower class individuals. We propose that the US Government give every individual that reported less than $150,000 in the calendar year 2008 an economic stimulus check of $10,000 that will be tax and lien free from all debts personal and private.
People living in the US have experienced extreme hardship in the past 24 months in the areas of employment, natural disasters, and economics. So many people have ideas that are merely dollars away from reality. Dreams that can provide in abundance employment, prosperity, and upgrade in quality of life. Let's all come together and sign this petition and then march on Washington DC and present it to the US Government and our new President.

6. Nominate Sebelius for Obama's VP
At the time of writing, Barack Obama is all but certain to become the US Democratic Party's nominee for the 2008 Presidential race. Attention is turning to who is most suitable to be his running mate. Several possible candidates have been suggested.
A name that has repeatedly emerged is Kathleen Sebelius. Mrs Sebelius is the Governor of Kansas, and has attained remarkable popularity over her gubernatorial tenure - despite Kansas being a heavily Republican state.
She has been rated among the US's top Governors, and should she be selected as the running mate for Mr Obama, it would give credence to the idea of building a new coalition of "red states" and "blue states" in 2008.
LM.C has always stated in their interviews that them playing in the US or touring in the US depends on the fans support. if the fans want them in the US we have to show them that we want them here.
I thought to myself, where are the fans? Everyone complains so much about how they want bands to come to the US but the never do anything. you can't just say something and expect to get it. you also have to work for what you want.
Lets bring LM.C to the US, Europe, the world!
8. Remove the 'terrorists' tag from Maoists in Nepal
After a decade-long civil war in the country, we appreciate the Maoists in Nepal for their agreement on ceasefire, involvement in the Interim Government, and then their participation in the elections in a largely peaceful and fair manner.
While it is true that, in the course of the Maoist revolution in the past decade, many lives were lost and human rights were seriously violated by the rebels, it is important to note that the same took place from the side of the government, too. Unfortunately, some biased reports from the media prevented the world at large from understanding this. As a matter of fact, more Maoists than people from any other group were killed in the recent struggle against the monarchy towards the re-establishment of democracy.
The realities from the past are still subject to different interpretations, but keeping in view the need for the stability and legitimacy of the future democratic government, it is important that the international community stand in support of Nepalese people who have decided to forgive both the sides in order to help them forge a partnership to rebuild the country.
The election manifesto of the Maoists appears impressive, particularly, in their assurance about the continuity of multiparty democracy in Nepal. Their approach to ‘industrial capitalism, geared towards socialism’ holds a great potential for positive socio-economic reforms in the country. Nepalese people have for long been victims of gender, racial, and ethnic discrimination. In the midst of these challenges, it is encouraging to see the Maoists demonstrating their commitment, again and again, to social equality, which has been vividly reflected by their nominations for the election. With the representation of people from diverse backgrounds, the new constitution to be drafted seems to be promoting pluralism and inclusiveness as a consequence of which, for the first time in the country’s history, elected women and indigenous people are joining the House in substantive numbers and proportions.
After years of bloodshed in the country, there is, thus, a glimmer of hope and we feel that international support is extremely necessary for building a ‘New Nepal’ to which all the political parties and their representatives seem to be committed. We feel that this support is cherished by every Nepalese citizen for three different reasons – one, it is more than just a voluntary choice for the Nepalese because there is hardly an alternative to it both technically and non-technically; two, the urgency of such support is likely to grow in the near future; and three, the support of international community lends the process a certain legitimacy, ownership, and sustainability that play a positive role to universalize the twin processes of democratization and development.
It has been really encouraging to see Mr. Jimmy Carter’s request to the US government to reconsider the tag on Maoists on the basis of his direct observation of the polls followed by the strong support the Maoists have been able to garner in the polls. The recent official statement from the Indian Ambassador to Nepal also indicates that the Indian Government accepts the newly formed government as a “legitimate” one and that India will provide unconditional cooperation to the Maoist government. It is, therefore, time that the US Government reconsiders its position, too.
In case the terrorist tag is not removed, the relations between the US and the incoming government is likely to remain frigid leading to further complications, whereas a positive decision to remove the tag is likely to send positive message to quite a few hard regimes around the world. It will also help in dispelling the conservative image of the ruling US regime amongst the Nepalese people. Above all, such a step will protect Nepalese in Nepal and abroad from the wrong image that the Nepalese at large may have acquired over the years and from the undeserved persecution that they may be subjected to from time to time as a result of the tag.
We deeply appreciate the US Government for extending its support to Nepal in conducting the Constituent Assembly Polls and in the creation of an environment conducive for peace. As global citizens, who wish the welfare of Nepalese people, we appreciate the assurance given by the United States to “continue assistance to Nepal”, following the Maoists’ victory. Given the deep commitment that the United States has and the support that it has given to fledgling democracies the world over, what decision the United States takes at this particular hour can be of critical relevance in making and marring the relations with the regime that will soon be formed in Nepal. We, therefore, urge you to help remove the terrorist tag on the democratically elected party, which, we are certain, would go a long way to strengthen US-Nepal relationship.
9. US hands off Bolivia! Respect Bolivian sovereignty
*Initiated by the Australia Venezuela Solidarity Network*
http://venezuelasolidarity.org
Recent events have revealed a violent destabilisation campaign by right-wing forces in Bolivia that is working to undermine democracy and overthrow the government of President Evo Morales, Bolivia's first indigenous president who was elected with nearly 54% of the vote in 2005.
US-Venezuelan lawyer Eva Golinger, as reported at http://boliviarising.blogspot.com on September 15, has revealed funding to the tune of US$13.3 million by US government-funded organisations to a number of the groups responsible for the destabilisation.
These are the same US-funded organisations that have helped fund and organise right-wing groups inside Venezuela responsible for attempts to overthrow Venezuela's elected government. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez argued on his TV show Alo Presidente on September 10 that the same method of US intervention that led to the US-backed military coup that briefly overthrew the Venezuelan government in 2002 is now being used in Bolivia.
We believe that the Bolivian people have the right to determine their own government and policies without outside interference.
10. Metal Gear Solid Collection Coming to Europe and US
Recently announced Metal Gear Solid Collection feature MGS 1-3 has only been confirmed for a Japan release and not EU and US.
This is yet another MGS box set not to arrive in these regions and we have to do something about it.

The Darfur conflict is an ongoing armed conflict in the Darfur region of western Sudan, mainly between the Janjaweed, a militia group recruited from the tribes of the Abbala Rizeigat (Bedouin Arabs), and the non-Baggara people (mostly land-tilling tribes) of the region.
The Sudanese government, while publicly denying that it supports the Janjaweed, has provided money and assistance and has participated in joint attacks with the group, systematically targeting the Fur, Zaghawa, and Massaleit ethnic groups in Darfur. The conflict began in July 2003. Unlike in the Second Sudanese Civil War, which was fought between the primarily Muslim north and Christian and Animist south, in Darfur most of the residents are Muslim, as are the Janjaweed.
After fighting worsened in July and August 2006, on August 31, 2006, the United Nations Security Council approved Resolution 1706 which called for a new 17,300-troop UN peacekeeping force to supplant or supplement a poorly funded, ill-equipped 7,000-troop African Union Mission in Sudan peacekeeping force. Sudan strongly objected to the resolution and said that it would see the UN forces in the region as foreign invaders. The next day, the Sudanese military launched a major offensive in the region. (See New proposed UN peacekeeping force)
Estimated number of deaths in the conflict vary widely. According to Sudan's government, 9,000 people have been killed; most NGOs use 200,000 to over 400,000, a figure from the Coalition for International Justice that has since been cited by the United Nations. As many as 2.5 million are thought to have been displaced as of October 2006.[3] (See Counting deaths section, below) The mass media once described the conflict as both "ethnic cleansing" and "genocide," and now do so without hesitation. The some in the United States government has described it as genocide, although the United Nations has declined to do so.
In March 2007 the U.N. mission accused Sudan's government of orchestrating and taking part in "gross violations" in Darfur and called for urgent international action to protect civilians there. Not much action has taken place.

African Americans in the United States for decades have had to succumb to the many prejudices and injustices that discrimination has produced. Countless, brutal, and unimaginable events have occurred in the African American history, that have prevented us from voting, owning land, eating in certain restaurants, living in specific locations, and ultimately robbing us of our God given freedom to live freely as human beings.
However, the unspoken truth is that injustice amongst African Americans is NOT a thing of the past. In today’s society inequality has moved from being blatant to systematic. You can’t quite put your finger on it but you know it is there; it is the unseen plague that can be found in our schools, our communities, our state, and our nation.
WHY is it that the media only portrays women as being ghetto and black men as thugs who can only aspire to be athletes or rappers.
WHY is it that more than 50% of the inmate system is black when African Americans only make up 12 % of the U.S. population?
WHY is that every time a politician makes an ignorant comment about the African American race it is the peoples fault for taking it the wrong way.
WHY is it that the simple commodities like gas and food cost more in deprived multi-ethnic communities but less in affluent neighborhoods?
WHY is it that our schools only offer a page honoring black history and yet our school system teaches our kids 300 + plus pages of so-called American history. When if it were not for African American inventors, educators, philosophers, and revolutionists there would be no American history.
WHY is it that taxpayer’s money is not spent on enhancing underprivileged schools with books and extracurricular activities? Instead the neglected are left without books and after school programs…Young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods have the right to a proper education too!
WHY is it that any race can demand change in the way society views them as a whole as long as it is not the black race?
WHY? Why are we afraid to ask why?
If we choose to ignore these injustices we will never see the justice of a peaceful tomorrow. This is OUR time to Fight for Justice. So, join us in our fight to better the future for the next generation.

Homeland is a Japanese RPG for Gamecube. It's not only a great game, it's also one of very few GC titles that has online support.
Sadly, it doesn't look like the US will be getting a version of this game, unless somebody shows Nintendo that it's worth the time and money that goes into translating a video game. Let's do that.
Please keep it tasteful.
15. Abolish All Phrases of God In The US government and the Amendment of Seperation of Church And State
In school, all American's said the pledge of allegience with the phrase "one nation, under god..." Everyone handles our currency, which has the phrase "In God We Trust" on it. During the presidential debates, both the candidates, John Kerry, and George Bush, ended with the note of "God Bless."
Well what about those of us who don't believe in god. Such as myself, I am an athiest. It offends me that everythign in our country has to do with god this and god that. I've always thought it to be such bull, and none of religion to be believable.
Everyone always says the phrase speration of church and state... correct? Read through the Constitution. No where does it state it. So in this, I am calling for an amendment to the Constitution that will change this, and be dubbed (Amendment) Article XXVIII: Seperation of Church and State. This way, it can not be used as an excuse to get past all of us. In Article 1 (first amendment), it states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" That represents the Seperation of Church and State JUST, by not establishing an official religion. That line does NOT state that the government can not use religion.
In the future, if a candidate for president uses such phrases as "God Bless", that would be accepted though, under the law of Freedom Of Speech, also stated in the 1st Amendment.
Do the right thing and correct the Constitution that so many have been tricked into believing by the words that they use.

16. Return our quality of life - less noise at Emmerich Parks!
10/26/2002
Petition to Give us back our quality of life
To: The Village of Buffalo Grove
ARE YOU TIRED OF THE NOISE AT EMMERICH PARK? IT'S ABOUT TO GET WORSE UNLESS YOU HELP.
Neighboring residents have recently attended several Village meetings in protest of the Buffalo Park District's request to permit the Buffalo Grove Recreational Association (BGRA) and the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL) extended usage of the Public Announcement (PA) systems at both East and West Emmerich Park parcels for the entire season, beginning in 2003.
Prior to 1992 Park Ordinances poorly governed the organizations listed above. In 1991 the Park requested that the Village allow them to install PA systems on both parcels. Public hearings and Village meetings took place due to concerns expressed by not only the residents, but by the planning commission and the village board regarding the request. The planning commission vetoed the request (0 yes - 7 no). The Village amended the wording to "limited use" and passed an Ordinance referencing Emmerich East.
"Limited Use" at Emmerich East was defined as:
· The PA system was limited to homecoming, post-season playoff and tournament football games.
· The PA system was limited to three weekends (six days maximum) for football.
· The PA system was limited to a maximum volume of 70 decibels.
· The PA system was limited to specific hours of the day;
o 9:00am - 5:00pm on Saturdays and 12:00noon - 4:30pm on Sundays.
Even though the BGRA and Emmerich West were included in all deliberations, once drafted, the Ordinance failed to include this association and parcel.
"Limited Use" at Emmerich West was discussed to:
· Limit the PA system to All Star games for baseball.
· Limit the PA system to one weekend (two days maximum).
· Limit the PA system to a maximum volume of 70 decibels.
· Limit the PA system to specific hours of the day;
o 9:00am - 5:00pm on Saturdays and 12:00noon - 4:30pm on Sundays.
Through the years, the rules of the Ordinance have constantly been violated, and when requests to enforce the Ordinance were made, little or nothing was done, and the violations continued.
As mentioned previously, the Park District is now asking for amendments to Ordinance. They have requested permission from the Village to allow full usage of the PA from dusk till dawn for the entire football season at the East parcel, and submitted a second request for Ordinance to allow 8:30am start times on Sundays for baseball at the West parcel.
In 1992, there was an estimated 500 participants registered with the BGRA and the BGYFL. There are now an estimated 2,800 participants registered. These numbers do not reflect the teams played against. Activity has risen from some weeknights and some weekends to nearly every night and nearly every weekend.
History of the events that led to the ordinance as well as current events regarding recent discussions can be obtained through the Village web site (www.vbg.org) under "agendas and minutes" then under "board of trustees, preliminary agendas". The most recent meetings regarding this topic began with the Village on September 23rd. The plan commission workshop is anticipated on 11/20/02.
We are asking you as neighbors to help stop any further intrusions to our neighborhood. The continuing growth has polluted and overburdened our streets with traffic and our neighborhood with congestion and noise. Should Emmerich East be allowed full usage of the PA, it will be a matter of time until Emmerich West requests the same. Our efforts are to maintain limited use.
Members of the Village Board have told us that our best defense would be to show up at the public hearings with as many neighboring residents as possible, which is the purpose for this letter. We look forward to any issues, concerns or suggestions that you may have, and truly look forward to your support at future meetings.
Note: We are not fighting City Hall. We are asking that the Village maintain and enforce the "spirit" of the Ordinance, which is to limit the use of any amplified system at both parcels. A petition has been drafted, and there are currently thirty-one (31) signatures. We ask at the very least that you sign this petition. More importantly, please attend as many meetings on this topic as you can.
