1. Change City Of Orillia Dog Licensing Registration Fee
The City Of Orillia Needs To Change It's Dog Licence By-Law. The By-Law states that all dog owners in the City of Orillia must purchase a licence at The cost of $50.00, but between January 1 to May 31 of each year, the fee is $30, or if the dog has been spayed or neutered it is then $20. The licence is valid until December 31 of every year.
Not only does the dog owner have to pay for the Vaccinations every year, but they also have to pay for the Licence on top of that which is quite costly to the Dog owner. A one time fee should be sufficient enough to the City Of Orillia, permitting that the dog owners provide their dogs Rabies Vaccination forms to the City.
2. Create Cat Laws in Australia
There are currently NO cat laws in Australia.
Cats a getting out of control.
They destroy our native wildlife, wander the streets, getting into garbage, Breed excessively, fight with other cats, males 'spray' in other people's yards to mark their territory from other cats, even if that person does not own a cat or dog. They run across people's roofs & fight.
They are also a danger to themselves, by running across roads, getting attacked by dogs, getting trapped in small confined spaces or up trees & power poles.
Irresponsible owners allow the cats to wander, fail to have them desexed & quite often own a large number of cats, well in excess of over 2 or 3 cats. When this occurs, the odor of cat urine on the property or neighbouring properties is disgusting & annoying, they fight in neighbours yards, kill birds & other small animals & become a nuisance to everyone.
Cats are not required to be licensed. There are no cat laws for a cat that is constantly noisy or meows a lot or if a cat is mistreated.
The animal laws in Australia are way out of date, far behind & need updating to include cats.
Thousands of cats become strays, are run over on busy roads or are put to sleep every day.
ONLY IF YOU LIVE IN AUSTRALIA, & you believe there should be laws for cats, then please sign this petition.
The following concerns can only be addressed with a face-to-face meeting with Senator Voinovich due to the fact that he is not current with the situation of the horse slaughter industry.
We are prepared to address the following issues:
A. Unwanted Horses
B. Slippery Slope
C. Negative financial impact claims when a horse slaughter ban be enacted.
We are a grass roots effort whose cause is to stop the slaughter of horses for human consumption and the exportation of horses for slaughter. Our request for a meeting with Senator Voinovich was denied on January 25, 2008.

7. DOG CONTROL ON LOMAS DE LOS MONTEROS
Lomas de los Monteros currently is at risk from some dog owners are not community minded and allow their dogs to run free (danger), swim in the pool and leave their mess in public areas (Unhygienic).
8. Carrington Community Mini Barn Approval for Homeowners
The Carrington Home Owners Association by laws currenty state that outside storage such as mini barn are prohibited.
We believe that the homeowners would prefer to have said structures to house lawn and garden eqipment and etc. which in turn would create more room in garages for vehicles.
9. Punish owners of dangerous pit bulls
My grandaughter was attacked on 28/o6/o6 by a pit bull, she was 1 /cm from death after her attack.
The law needs to ban all these dogs and make the owners go to prison for a long time not just weeks.
Children suffer for years after the attacks so plz back me on this. Thank you all.
10. Bring Microsoft Game Studio's Halo 3 to PS3
PS3 currently rapes the 360. It is expected that the PS3 will further increase it’s market share in this console generation due to the exceptional suck of the 360. The ownage equates to many gaming fans.
Gaming fans deserve the best games out there – namely Microsoft Game Studios-Halo 3.
11. Stop Noise Level violations and antisocial behavior in Brookhaven
We would like to request a few minutes of your time to address a critical problem that, with your help, may be greatly diminished. It is a Noise Level Control problem.
There are two Clubs "Las Vegas Sports Club" and "Las Teja Restaurant & Bar" that are operating out of 1075 Portion Road from the hours of 8 P.M. to 3:30 A.M. Tuesday thru Sunday. It is a complex issue involving a number of factors. The one we'd like to address is the ongoing problem with both clubs playing loud music that is affecting our sleep and disrupting our lives and affecting the quality of life.
Another serious problem related to these two clubs is that drugs are being sold in the parking lot and that patrons are/may be leaving in an intoxicated or drugged state and are operating their vehicles through our neighborhoods causing a dangerous and potentially deadly environment for our local residents and public.
We have contacted the Town of Brookhaven, Code Enforcement Dept and 911 to assist the residents with some relief when the music gets out of control. When the officers request the business owners to lower the volume they comply, however once the officers leave the location the club owners raise the volume up on the music again and it remains that way until we call 911 again.
12. Smokers have rights in Ohio
Our rights as american citizens are being ripped away from us little by little.
Business owners will be losing money with the smoking ban, without our choice to be able to smoke where we like.
Although there is a smoking ban, American citizens can still breath smog from factories and vehicles.
13. APPEAL VANCOUVER FLEA MARKET RENT INCREASE
On September 02, 2006 a memo addressed to the vendors of the Vancouver Flea Market announcing an increase in booth rental fees to commence on October 07, 2006. This is the second such rental fee increase for the year of 2006.
Since the departure of the Vancouver Flea Market’s former manager in January 2002, three mangers took over and the market has undergone many changes.
1) Introduction of the “Antque Show”
2) Advertising of the Vancouver Flea Market has diminished.
3) Rental Fees have unexplicably almost doubled.
The introduction of the “Antique Show” was a great way to bring more people into the Vancouver Flea Market. This, however, was a mixed blessing. The Antique Show comes complete with a segretation curtain to separate the “regular” area and the “show” area. There is, however, no separation at the admission gate as all venturing customers have to pay double the normal admission. This frightens off some customers, sometimes permanently. Regular customers avoid the market on antque show days forcing regular vendors to suffer. The Antque Show does bring in some new customers but for only around four days per year. For the other one hundred days of business the reserved section for the Antique Show remains virtually empty. If these tables are filled, management could increase yearly revenue by twentysix times.
The Vancouver Flea Market simply lacks advertising. Advertising brings in more customers, which increases the number of occupied booths. With the exception of the few advertisments for the Antique Show, there are little to none advertisments at this point. Pior to 2002, the Vancouver Flea Market was advertised on various television channels with a smart, professional commercial. The Antique Show itself suffers from lack of advertising. A number of the smaller flea markets in the lower mainland have been showcased on “the Antique’s Road Show “on the CBC. For example, the antique show on the north shore flea market has been showcased on Global TV News, CTV News and the CBC. The much larger historical Vancouver Flea Market has been left out.
Rental Fees have almost doubled in the last five years. Contrary to the reasons given for the increase, or lack thereof, cost of living, property taxes and other expenses, while they have gone up, have not increased by 190% as the increase implies. Rental Fees have forced many vendors to leave, and will cause many more to leave or reduce their booths. This will equal much less revenue for the Vancouver Flea Market’s Owners and Managers. The Vancouver Flea Market has many empty tables, with an entire section of empties reserved for the “antique show” which accounts for approximately only four showings yearly, whereas regular vendors are responsible for generating 104 days of revenue, plus holidays. A lower rental fee would certainly fill up those empty tables for more than just four days a year, resulting in 26 times the revenue generated by the Antique Show. Thereby increasing revenue for the owners and managers.
In the past five years vendor revenues have been steadily dropping and rental fees have all but doubled. In spite of raising fees, including admission fees, there has been a reduction in advertising of the market to little or none. In fact many people are unaware that the historical market exists or is even open for business. People from the lower mainland go all the way to the likes of Abottsford, when, ironically, the Vancouver Market is closer. We are looking for a win-win solution allowing the owners and managers to prosper along with the vendors.

15. Legalize Airsoft in Singapore
Airsoft is a sport that is fun and legal.
Although it can cause severe injuries, Singaporeans should be sensible - play with protective gear like vests. The new generation of Singapore is changing.
The fundamental difference in airsoft and normal shooting ranges is that we all want to have a weapon to call it our own and play against each other.
Hence it is pointless to go to a range, spend money to shoot targets and go home.
The Singapore Government should make protective gear a necessary equipment for airsoft. And airsoft matches should have referees to supervise and ensure no foul play.
I believe the Singapore government can allocate several places for airsoft.
It has to be spacious. Abandoned buildings need not be demolished, it can re-converted into an airsoft facility. Warehouses are a good place as they are far from the public, so as to prevent any accidents between players and the public.
All airsoft weapons would have a ORANGE BARREL TIP as some countries have done. The ORANGE TIP is to acknowledge authorities upon Customs that this is not a real weapon.
After clearing Customs, all weapons would have to be transported from the Customs to the armory under armed guard, so as to ensure the weapon was not tampered by the owner until delivery at the airsoft facility.
All items related to airsoft should be transferred this way. Owners should NOT be allowed to increase their firing velocity, but allowed to upgrade things like a laser scope or a better handgrip. They should order through either the Airsoft Facility staff or online purchasing. Custom officers can check the address of the item, to ensure the address is that of the airsoft facility and not their home address. They should also be allowed to confiscate any upgrades which will increase the firing velocity.
Owners should be allowed to take home the weapon WITHOUT some part of the firing mechanism or the plastic pellets.
All weapons will be checked for the removal of the firing mechanism before exiting and owners should be checked to confirm that they do not conceal it or pellets. The parts should be sealed and labelled with the owner's name, and safely secured at the airsoft facility lockers.
Foreigners who have their own rifles in their own countries would probably like to bring them over if they have to work in Singapore.
They should send their rifles to Singapore, and have it checked at the Singapore Customs. The firing velocity must be between a range of 100 FPS - 280 FPS, the usual for stock rifles. After clearing customs. Their weapons must be delivered to the designated airsoft facilities.
It has already been confirmed that airsoft rifles CANNOT be changed to a real firearm. Even if robbers try to use these airsoft weapons to rob banks, they would have to consider the high probability of getting shot and killed.
Since airsoft is quite popular in other countries, i believe many foreigners would consider coming to Singapore to try out the new airsoft facilities. Economically speaking, if Singapore managed to have superb facilities, it would most certainly be a place to visit for airsofters, hence it would benefit both Singaporeans and foreigners.
Banning things like chewing gum are ok. They cause trouble. But Airsoft does not, with strict rules and regulations, i don't see why airsoft should be banned in Singapore.
Please make airsoft legal.
16. Forest Hills Dog Owners Group
April 16, 2006
Giving dogs their own place to play means they're less likely to disturb other members of our community.
Adequate off-leash play and exercise helps make dogs better neighbors. A dog that gets plenty of exercise is less likely to bark incessantly or jump on people.
Dog runs bring people together, create a sense of community, and provide a forum for dog owners to share information that can help foster more responsible pet ownership. That in turn makes dog owners better neighbors.
17. BAN FIREWORKS FROM PUBLIC SALE
Every year, fireworks go on sale mid October. IT is now law that fireworks are NOT to be let off after 11pm.
This is impossible to police, and this year I have endured fireworks in my street after midnight. Fireworks are now let off from mid October until mid November. On the 5th November, all animal owners take extreme precautions to protect their animals from the devastating effects fireworks can have. However, all undersigned animal owners and/or parents feel fireworks are a menace and a danger and should be experienced only at a PUBLIC ORGANISED DISPLAY.
There is no place for them in gardens and streets.
18. Day of Defeat:source for free
This petition was made to show our disagreement on Valve's decision to sell the Half Life 2 modification, "Day of Defeat: source", instead of letting Half Life 2 owners download it for free.
This petition is to help the wonderfull breed of pitt bulls. Owners are the problem, not the breed.
The baby in the picture is my Staffie Zeke.
20. Stop Assessments to Orchard Estates 1st Addition
A new housing develpment is going to be added next to an established city area. The city is going to try to assess the cost of these new improvments for properties and develpment to our existing residents!
The new developer estimates to cost of this to the City of Dilworth a total of $2,250,000.00 This is a new twist to the plan as this was never discussed in any of the public planning meetings and hearings for this new housing devlopment.
How can the City of Dilworth think they can Make the exisitng home owners pay for the costs of the new developer expanding the city's housing additions??
21. Proper Maintenance of Robbers Roost Golf Course
The current overgrowth of the Robbers Roost Golf Course is creating a health problem for the surrounding communities. Snakes, foxes, otters and mosquitos have been recently spotted and are a danger to the homeowners and their pets.
We request the owners of the property to mow it on a regular basis or the city mow it and bill the owners. We are all tax paying citizens and feel that our safety must be a concern for the local government and the entire community.
22. Opposition to rate increase by Skyline Water Company
I am writing concerning the rate increase proposed by Dave Travers (i.e. Skyline Water Company). We as a community do not feel this increase is warrented. 16 years ago the water bill was $16.00 monthly, now with the addition of meters we all pay a minimum of $30.00 and some of us pay as much as $80.00 a month. For my bill this equates to almost a 400% increase over 16 years.
For years we have been told that the rate increases were going to be used for improvements to the existing well and or well house, to date none of us have seen any of these improvements. Mr. Travers has been called repeatedly by myself and my neighbors because of water that sometimes has dirt in it and has an oily film. Mr. Travers solution is always to flush the line outside the residence. This flushing of the lines only clears the water up for a brief period, eventually the dirt and oil return.
23. Bailey's Crusade: dog park for Sarnia
The City of Sarnia has no off-leash area in which dog owners can allow their pets to run freely and become socialized with other animals.
Proper socialization of dogs will make for a safer community. Therefore, as dog owners in Sarnia, we have begun this petition to bring the need of a dog park to the attention of the City Council and Park and Recreation Department.
24. Fighting For Animal Rights
Through the years, ciggarette and cleaning product factories, pet shops, etc. has been mistreating animals.
Cigarrtes factories force animals to smoke the cigars for a long time, to see what happens, and owners of cleaning product factories must test their products on something, so they choose animals to test them on. They drop chemicals that the product contains in the mouths and eyes of rabbits and monkeys. And, many of the times the animal is greatly injured, and even died painfully.
And pet shops only provide small cages for the cats and dogs, that are barely larger than their bodies. We must stop this unjust action now!
Me, Gabriela Cano, my sister, Carlina Cano, and my companion, Hannah Jones have made this petition to stop this cruel act towards animals.
25. Abolish Portage County Proposal for Campground
Town of Dewey resident and/or taxpayers who do not believe the Portage County proposed campground would be in the best interest of the Town of Dewey residents nor nearby property owners.
26. Bring the Isle of Capri to Old Jefferson
We residents and business owners of Old Jefferson welcome the Isle of Capri Casino.
27. Belmont Station Assigned Parking Issue
Sequoia Management Company recently repaved the parking areas of Belmont Station. In doing so, the parking space numbering was also removed and never replaced. It has now become impossible to tell where the assigned and visitor spaces are now located. Visitors now have no idea where to park (at no fault of their own) and have been parking in what was assigned parking spaces. Because there are no markings on the paved areas, property owners are unable to ticket or tow vehicles and have lost the use of their own spaces, 2 of which are included in the sale of each ungaraged townhome.
Property owners who purchase townhomes with garages don't have this problem because they have a garage and a driveway; plus VISITOR parking if need be. Garaged townhomes are sold with NO assigned parking because of this, which is how it should be.
Unfortunately, the property owners of the garaged townhomes feel that they are also entitled to assigned parking spaces - which would give them 4 parking spaces plus visitor parking!
It is being argued that they don't use the garage for parking but rather for storage. That is the property owner decision and property owners of the ungaraged townhomes should not lose parking because of this.
In conclusion, the policy should remain as is - townhomes with garages should continue to have the use of visitor parking only - they should NOT be assigned 2 additional reserved parking spaces - this takes away from the parking for the property owners without the garage/driveway.
This petition is for the benefit of the property owners of UNGARAGED townhomes that are in jeopardy of losing much needed parking.
Please keep the parking policy as is and repaint our numbers in the assigned parking areas as soon as possible.
Thank you!
28. Create a public skatepark in the City of Alhambra
A skatepark is needed in the City of Alhambra to keep kids safe and to keep property damage low.
29. Amending the Pet Rules for Fairway Oaks Condominium
We the owners here at Fairway Oaks humbly ask the board to amend the pet rules to state the following:
Owners are allowed up to 2 small pets. 1 cat and 1 dog or 2 small dogs under 10 pounds. If cats then all cats must be fixed before coming to live in this community.
We feel that as long as they are properly walked and picked up after, then 2 small pets should not present a problem.
The owners of Con Gusto Cafe are asking the City of Hood River to extend their permitted business closing hours from 9:00 pm to 11:00 p.m. Originally the owners had not anticited as popular a dinner crowd and would like to continue operating as a full service cafe offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Dinner operations have become crucial for the financial operations of Con Gusto. Your support of this change is needed.
