Background (Preamble):
All other professions within the healthcare environment have been allowed to grandfather staff already working within that field. Registered Nurses have eliminated a 2 year diploma program with a grandfather diploma allowing nurses to continue working in their career with no further education.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the Alberta College of Pharmacists, along with the Provincial Government of Alberta to allow currently employed Pharmacy Technicians to grandfather into Pharmacy Technician regulation without the need of further education or entry exams.
